My work depicts a traveller's sights embarked on a lonely journey. As they experience moments of both speed and pause. Visions whirling by in a flurry of lights and colors, alongside scenes of nocturnal stillness, eerie in their tranquility. My oil and acrylic works evoke an appreciation for time in the viewer, whether standing still or speeding by, and in retroflection, summoning nostalgia for past memories. I think back to long drives on the Canadian prairies, spending countless hours in the back of my parent's cars watching unending streetlights go by, illuminating dark winter roads, leading a trail of luminous breadcrumbs to lone gas stations. My practice has since moved to San Francisco, where I've immersed myself in the city's art scene, winning the San Francisco Art Battle title and showing at the Superfine Art Show.
