Manon is an American oil painter based in Brooklyn. Her work explores the dark feminine and entertains the proposition that the Western mind is inherently masculine—not only in its gaze, but in its structure. Her paintings are less concerned with critiquing the gaze itself and more invested in the psychic experience of being its object and the effect on subjective experience.
