Only Me on TV

When I was small, the TV was my only real friend. I studied the screen for the secrets of life, love, and motivation. The TV taught me to dream in narratives. Media is more than entertainment, it shapes our dreams, fears, and beliefs about what’s possible. What happens when we reclaim the narrative?

In this project, every frame is an act of self-reinvention. I build scenes that are part memory, part future vision, and entirely mine. I used to fall asleep to my favorite shows, their repetition keeping me safe. Now I am the storyteller. I am alone, but no longer isolated. I’ve turned longing into power. By rewriting my narrative, I reshape my identity. I’m not the audience anymore, I’m the director of my own unfolding story.
