Self Portrait Series (2025)

These images were created using contemporary software TouchDesigner. I programmed a fluid simulation based off of real water and made the particles react to the light and dark areas of an input image forming the patterns you see here captured in stills. I was inspired by Francis Bacon's distorted portraits and think this idea of a warped identity is more relevant today than it has ever been with our current social climate.

As humans are becoming more technologically advanced, I believe that contemporary art should reflect these advancements by using technology and creativity to make something totally unique and experimental.
